Yes, that is cat hair held in place by cobwebs.
Apparently it is also time to do a thorough cleaning of my apartment.
EWWWWW - when I just looked at the post and zoomed in, there's also a spider on the bottom of the book. Going to clean it right now...

Spiders are pretty quick web-spinners. I find I will Swiffer up the cobwebs and they're rebuilt in no time. For some reason the spider(s?) in my place like to hang out in the bathroom, over the mirror.
Me and my spiders live in harmony... well it's just easier not to clean.
Spark, luckily I often don't have my glasses on in the bathroom to see them in there!
Ron, I often take that approach until they get out of hand.
