Variations

My friend Danielle has always taken beautiful flower shots and was recently going through her best photos. I have used her pictures as my desktop in the past and gotten compliments (which I don't think I ever passed on, but did tell those people who took the photo). I told her I had a great tulip that CF brought one day. It is still light out, barely, so I took a couple pictures with my camera. She could do better though. :-)

There was not much light left coming in from outside...
...so I turned on the inside lights for the rest.

Aw! Thanks for the shout out.

The tulip is really gorgeous. And your photo skillz are nothing to scoff at either.
I love the grayscale photo with the red streak showing. Very cool. I never think to do that sort of thing with photos, but you've got me thinking now!

My camera (a Powershot Elph) does the color pick with one of the settings. I think if you use photoshop, you can get better color pick than the green one I posted, for example.

Those flowers are truly lovely. It's just the perfect time too - I think we're all craving pretty blossoms at this time of year.

They were definitely a nice touch of spring, Spark!
