Important realization
Presumably, if I were in a relationship, I would tell that man I had a blog. He would then want to see the blog, and may even read it. If I meet someone through this whole online thing, this would also apply. Therefore, I must think before writing anything that can come back to bite me in the behind.

just say "no" to self censorship!
There is definitely a fine line between keeping it real and not saying something that will hurt other people. Some bloggers, like me, have promised never to blog about their love relationship. I haven't specifically promised not to reveal anything about the rest of my family, but knowing that they read it makes me more careful. This is a good thing, I think. One blogger who has become very famous - dooce - regrets saying things that have hurt her family.
