A delayed response to Idol

I watched the first several weeks of picking the people who would be on American Idol. I also watched a bit when they were first splitting it men and women. Then I stopped.

But I still sorta kept up with it.

I went to visit my old lab and was having lunch the day after an episode. One of my friends commented, early in the season, that David Archuleta was "so sweet he's giving me diabetes." I think she must have been pleased with the outcome.

I asked my roommate, who still works in that lab, if they had all been talking about the finale at lunch and David Cook winning.
Jenski: I don't really remember which one he was. He was more rock-y than pop-y, right?
Roommate: You said you'd do him if that helps.
Jenski: Oh, so he was one of the doable ones? That helps.
I did just watch his song at the end of the finale. I would totally do him.

hahahahaha

i'm glad there are other people who judge guy's talents on whether or not they are "doable".

:)

Finally! Someone else commenting on AI! I looked around at several blogs yesterday that normally comment on it and got nothing.

Anyway, your roomies comment about "He was ONE OF THE ONES you thought were do-able" makes me wonder who the others were. ;-) I can't say that any of the others really caught my eye. But David Cook is definitely the whole package - especially when he smiles and lights up.

I Hope So, I find it a perfectly acceptable way to judge one's talent! :-)

Danielle, I am afraid my commentary probably wasn't the commentary you were looking for though! I just remember some guy with an Australian accent I think? I go for the accents. After looking at the top 12, David Cook is by far the most attractive though. :-)

A quote I just found from David Cook: "I just want to make a record that is going to make the hair on the back of your neck stand up."

This was one of the shows I never got into. It helped not having a TV. There is hope now that I watch other shows--maybe someday I'll have a delayed response too...

hahaha! Yes, he was kind of doable! ;0)

And I love that - so sweet he gave me diabetes! ha! I'm totally going to steal that line!

Aurora, I go between being glad I don't watch much TV and wishing I watched more so I could've seen David Cook more!

Victoria, I'm also waiting for the perfect moment to reuse that line!
