A weekend without internet is...

...rather annoying if you think you are going to have internet.

...a weekend with one less method of procrastination.

...a good way to get reading done for work because you have no other choice.

...not conducive to figuring out what kind of laptop you want to invest in.

...unfortunate because if you think of a bunch of things to post about - hiking, grad school, my desire to finish grad school...

...still not a good enough excuse to go into the lab on the weekend.

...a great excuse to meet up with a friend for brunch, go shopping, and spend money you do not really have.

I concur on all points!

Except for the one about what kind of laptop you want. Of course you want to get a Macbook Air. That's what I'm getting once this blasted bar exam is over. la la la la...

Are you sure you don't want to switch over to the white side? There's software now so that you can run Windows in a separate partition, and even access your Mac programs simultaneously....

Whatever you get, unless you plan on only using your laptop from home, please, please, please buy the extended warranty. I'm sure khc can tell you plenty of classmate horror stories about laptops that break. My IBM (now Lenovo) was pretty reliable. My mom's Gateway is a piece of [expletive]. For what it's worth.

I always wanted to get a laptop, ever since I was young... wait... nevermind, that was a lapdance I was thinking about, sorry ;-)

A weekend without internet is truly terrifying.

The day I get a laptop will be the day they invent one that weighs one pound, is waterproof, can be folded down to the size of a paperback pocket book, can be thrown down a flight of stairs without damage, and is unstealable.

So, probably not anytime soon.

Molly, you sound like every Mac owner. ;-) Why do I want to run two OS at once? And I'm totally getting the extended warrenty.

Ron, I bet you could watch lapdances on your laptop!

Spark, that would be soooooo handy!

There already is such a magical laptop - it's called an IPHONE.

KHC, I think you've been brainwashed. ;-)

Maxie, it still works as procrastination a bit because you spend all this time wondering what else you could possible do! :-)
