I went to my friend's dissertation defense today. She and I were roommates freshman year in college. She stayed where we did our undergrad to do her PhD. I can not imagine having spent a decade in one place (other than with my parents) at this point in my life. :)
ANYWAY. It was a bright, sunny, and warm day and I now know a little more about what she's been working on.
