Is this contagious?

My friend from high school and her family actually made it down this week! A few weeks ago, they did not make it because of weather and my godson was sick earlier in the week, so I was afraid they would not make it down again. I think all of the kids I know must be the cutest ones out there. My niece, my nephew. I mean, look at my godson! But then again, all the pictures I see of little kids are cute. And all of my friends are having babies, and they are cute (I think 2 in the past six months?). And all of my friends who are pregnant (I think 3 right now?) are beautiful. Recently, an undergrad in the lab asked me if I have Baby Fever. I think the answer is yes. Maybe like the flu it will eventually pass?

Kids are cute. Loaded diapers are not.

When you see people with their kids you're getting the "edited for television best of collection" family view.

Kids are also a huge source of stress. If kids didn't look "cute" I doubt anyone would have them.

I guess it's a good thing for the species that "cuteness" exists.

Oh, I've born witness to many a melt-down. Not all of the kids I know give me the edited version anymore (unfortunately)!

I'm finding kids to be cuter than I used to too. I think it helps that my seestor having a little girl has opened up a window into what it is like to raise a child. I've never really been around anyone with a young child until now.

There really are babies *everywhere*. I wonder if this will be another baby boom? There are all of the women who postponed having babies for career or other reasons, and then I feel like many women who are in our age bracket are prioritizing baby-making earlier in their lives. Very interesting...

I love visiting with my friends' baby. And I also love going home to my clean, quiet home at the end of the visit!

Danielle, they can be quite entertaining! This one is really putting sentences together now, and that is fun.

Molly, no joke. Interesting food for thought too!

Spark, very true. If only I had a dog to pick up all those crumbs. Instead I swept and mopped after they left.
