The New 'Do
Here is my new haircut immediately after blow-drying and hair-spraying. It flattens out a bit within a couple of hours. Somehow, I also managed to make myself look like a giant when I took the picture.
When I first cut my hair and could style it flipped out like this, I told Molly how it sucked that I had to put stuff in my hair and style it every day to make it look nice. She asked how long it took to do all that. 5 minutes. I should be glad it only takes 5 minutes to do. There is one woman at the gym who dries her hair then clips a very large round brush wrapped in the hair on the top of her head to cool while she does all her makeup; another woman dries her long wavy hair on low for a good 10 minutes with a big round brush to straighten it. I guess I am lucky.

Cute! That's the thing about short hair. There's no pony-tail or clippy shortcut.
I like it! Especially all flipped out like that. It looks more stylish that way.
I understand about the not wanting to take 5 min to do your hair. I go through this spiel in my head every morning "Do I _really_ need to dry my hair today?"
And then after I've done it, and it is so quick, I wonder why it was such a hurdle. One of these days, it will become second-nature, I suppose. Or should I say, I hope. ;-)
5 minutes is totally worth it. The flippy hair is so cute!! It's like Charlie's Angels, but modern.
I am lazy a lot and wear my hair pulled back or pinned up... but when I take the 15-ish minutes to do it, it's so much cuter, and people are so nice about it, that I really think I should do it more often. Even though 15 minutes in the morning is a long time....
Wow.. 5 minutes?? I don't spend any time at all on my hair... Of course I don't have much to do stuff with if I wanted too :(
It looks great! As Molly says, very Charlies Angels.
I'm impressed by the 5 minutes of styling. It's a big day when I take the blowdrier to my hair. That's when I comb it.
Super-duper cute 'do! I love it.
I used to spend 20 minutes on my hair every day, at least, after a stylist layered it without warning me of her plans. Once it was layered, I had to spend that long to look presentable for work. After several months of this torture, I cut it super-short. Now I love my pixie cut!
Very cute. Hooray!
Ern, I know! I have those little snap-clip things to hold it back when I do my PCR. :)
Danielle, thanks! It is a nice esteem boost to look at your hair and realize it's all worth it. I bet people comment days when you go all out too!
Molly, 15 minutes?! I don't know if I could handle that. ;) You don't even use a blow dryer either, do you??
Ron, maybe you just haven't found the right products yet?
Aurora, with my hair short, it really isn't a big deal to style.
Spark, no warning for the layers? NOT cool. Short is usually easy, unless you like pulling it back!
Kalki, thanks!
