Well, I have me my wireless back. Thank goodness.
I actually got to thinking about daily habits while my wireless was out. I used to watch a not too excessive amount of TV. Then my ex had TiVO, and that certainly increases the amount of TV one watches. Then we broke up and I did not have cable or internet, so it was back to network stations. I still had a fair amount of regular shows to watch though. Then I started the online dating thing and retelling my stories got a little old. We started chipping in for the wireless upstairs and I started this blog so I could reduce the number of times I (knowingly) retold the dating stories. [I have a habit of retelling stories - a quality I inherited from my mom.] Then the writer's strike and my busy schedule. Then Blog365. Then? WIRELESS OUTAGE. NO TV. NO INTERNET. TRYING HARD TO RESIST BLOGGING AT WORK. It was only for a couple of days. Enough to test me I suppose. So I am generally out of the habit of watching TV (except Home Makeover Extreme Edition), and into the habit of sitting on my computer at night. I do not know if I will get back into Scrubs and ER and whatever else, but I can always just watch them online while I sit at my computer at night. :)
Anyhoo. That's the past couple years of my TV and internet habits, in case you wondered. So after deciding to run about half of the errands I want to do this weekend tonight, I am home catching up on all the wonderful posts that have been put up since the wireless was out. If you are getting a bunch of comments from me all at once, that is why. Thanks for posting so I had something to do while I drank my wine. ;)

I have DVR and I have about a zillion shows recorded to watch and no real desire to sit down and watch them. Hmmmm sort of defeats the point of taping them doesn't it?
I have about 15 episodes of Ellen and haven't gotten back to watching them. With Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, Survivor, Battlestar Galactica, John Adams, I'm all booked up. Mainly because I can only watch Dancing, Idol, Survivor, and Ellen when my husband isn't interested in watching TV - which is when he is out of town.
When everyone I knew was blogging daily a couple of years ago, I was spending a lot of evenings reading blogs. Now, I can cover them all over breakfast.
I hardly watch TV at all anymore. Just the morning news, and my weekly dose of America's Next Top Model on Wednesdays. The rest of the time I'm online, or reading a book.
I'm spoiled by the interactivity of blogging. TV pales by comparison, especially with all the commercials.
My life stops dead in its tracks when our wireless isn't working. Which is rare, fortunately. I'm not sure what it says about me, but wireless internet is a critical need. That's also one of the criteria we use when choosing hotels.
Hey girl - thanks for the comment. Yes, you REALLY missed the classy look there on April Fool's Day! ;0)
Thanks for reading - it put a smile on my face this morning. :)
I hate falling behind on my blog reading. But it seems to be happening, oh, every day. gah
TV habits are so personal. I have a list of fave shows now that we have cable, and not just that, an HDPvR. It's all due to the corruption of my boyfriend. All his fault.
Ron, they are always there if you are home sick or something!
Danielle, ditto! Breakfast would be a good time to catch up.
Spark, it is rewarding to have blog conversations. I am not a big reality TV fan, so tend towards sitcoms and dramas. I guess those are sorta like seeing other people's lives like in blogs. :)
Kalki, you should write a "How to stay connected on the road" book!
Victoria, I love your stories!
Maxie, I always feel bad when I just sit down and comment on a week's worth of blogs. There are always good posts I am glad I got to read though!
Aurora, it's always a boy's fault. :)
